What is DevStaff Canada?
+
DevStaff Canada is a technology-focused recruitment agency that connects leading employers with highly skilled professionals across North America. Our goal is to help companies build exceptional teams while helping candidates find meaningful career opportunities.
What are the benefits of working with DevStaff Canada?
+
At DevStaff Canada, we provide a personalized recruitment experience from start to finish. Our recruiters take the time to understand your skills, career goals, and interests, matching you with opportunities that align with your experience. We partner with employers across North America and provide dedicated support throughout every stage of the hiring process.
Are your recruitment services free for candidates?
+
Yes. Our recruitment services are completely free for job seekers. DevStaff Canada is compensated by our employer partners, so there is never a fee for candidates.
What does the hiring process look like?
+
Our hiring process typically begins with a pre-screening interview with one of our recruiters. Qualified candidates are then invited to participate in a client interview, which may include behavioural, technical, or a combination of both, depending on the role.
How can I book a pre-screening interview?
+
You can easily schedule a pre-screening interview through our online booking page at your convenience.
How long will it take to hear back after speaking with a recruiter?
+
We aim to follow up with candidates within one week of their pre-screening interview. Timelines may vary depending on the role and client hiring process.
What is the best way to contact DevStaff Canada?
+
The easiest way to connect with our team is by booking a call through our website or emailing us at info@devstaff.ca. We’ll be happy to answer your questions and discuss available opportunities.
What types of positions does DevStaff Canada offer?
+
We offer a multitude of different positions that revolve around tech, business, and leadership. Check out our Open Roles to see what we are offering right now.
Does DevStaff Canada offer co-op opportunities?
+
Yes. We work with employers who hire co-op students and interns throughout the year. Co-op positions are typically posted through your school’s official co-op or career portal. If you find a DevStaff Canada opportunity there, please apply through your institution’s job portal rather than directly through our website, as applications must follow your school’s co-op process.
Can I apply for more than one position?
+
Yes. If you’re interested in multiple opportunities that match your qualifications, we encourage you to apply. Our recruiters will help determine which role is the best fit for your experience and career goals.
Do you only recruit for technology positions?
+
While we specialize in technology recruitment, we also recruit for a variety of engineering, professional, and business roles depending on our clients’ needs.
Are your open positions contract or permanent?
+
We recruit for both contract and permanent positions. While we offer a variety of opportunities, the majority of our current openings are permanent, full-time roles.
Why is citizenship status required?
+
Some of our opportunities require candidates to obtain security clearance due to the sensitive nature of the work. As a result, Canadian or U.S. citizenship may be required for certain positions. However, not all roles have this requirement, and eligibility criteria vary depending on the client and position. We encourage you to review each job posting carefully for specific requirements.
Do you offer sponsorship?
+
At this time, we do not provide employment sponsorship. Many of our positions require candidates to meet citizenship or work authorization requirements due to security clearance or client-specific regulations.
Do I need to live in Canada to apply?
+
Candidates must be currently located in Canada or the United States to be considered for our opportunities. Many positions also require candidates to have valid work authorization and, in some cases, Canadian or U.S. citizenship due to client requirements or security clearance.
Where are your offices located?
+
DevStaff Canada is headquartered in Ontario, with offices in Waterloo and Toronto. We also have locations in Buffalo, New York, and Atlanta, Georgia, allowing us to support clients and candidates across North America.
If a role isn’t the right fit for me, can I refer someone else?
+
Absolutely! We welcome referrals and even offer a referral program. If you know someone who may be a great fit for one of our opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
Will my information be kept confidential?
+
Yes. We treat your personal information with the utmost confidentiality and only share your profile with employers after discussing the opportunity with you.
